My brother and I own a home free and clear in Oak Park sacramento, which is a c grade neighborhood near downtown Sacramento. We have completely rebuilt the home per california code. My brother wants to sell the home as soon as the renovations are completed and use the money in a home in a better neighborhood. The home value has gone up significantly as the neighborhood is going thru some revitalization. I think that we should use the home as leverage and keep the property, but my brother thinks it is dumb and we should obtain all the capital to put into a home in a nicer neighborhood. What do you guys think would be the best thing to do?
