Very useful information from everyone. I am also new to the real estate industry and have only had the license for about 18 months now. Although I have only done a few real estate transactions since the time I have had my license, my concentration is currently in construction, for I am a licensed general contractor. I currently rehab properties for investors.

Although I haven made a decent income in construction as a general contractor, I would like to redirect my focus into putting my real estate license to use. I, too, would like to attend meetings and real estate investor conventions to learn from others, network, gather information all in hopes of becoming a real estate investor myself.

@Elan Adivi, Welcome to BP and if you attend the meeting in Beverly Hills and @Senika Levias if the invitation is extended to me as well, I hope to meet you there.

Hi Antoine,

You may be right. I have been trying to meet with investors and liked-mind individuals but have not been successful. Nevertheless, I'm still trying.

Hello all. I am a real estate agent and a licensed general contractor. Although I have both licenses for some time now and have done many jobs in construction, I have only done only 2 real estate transactions. As a result, I have decided to reduce the number of jobs in construction I will do to make more time in becoming more productive in real estate. Are there any RE conventions or clubs I can join that would allow me to connect with experienced professionals? I would like to redirect my focus on partnering with investors for flip opportunities. Hope to hear from someone soon! -Dennis
