I am just getting started as well. I just got pre-approved to purchase in Tampa, Florida. I think what you are doing now with continuing to learn and building your credit is the perfect way to go. If you don't have an investor, I would also say get with a loan officer to see what you can get approved for, you might be surprised. You don't have to have a perfect credit score.
