We took out a HELOC on our primary home and then used those funds for the down payment on the investment property. It worked out for us although I wish we could have put down less than 25%.

Hi,

Bought our first rental property in March and have been quietly reading and listening to all the great resources on BiggerPockets. I figured it was time to introduce myself. My hubby and I live in Arvada, CO, originally from Chicago (Go Cubbies). We bought a duplex in Englewood and have been managing it ourselves. Would love to connect with other investors and learn more as we look to grow our portfolio in the next 1-2 years.
