@Bill Gulley I get what you're saying but I feel like everything that I've been reading and listening to are all pretty much saying to just get the deals and the buyers will come.

@Eric H. yes I am! lol I know that I need to take action but I also want to make sure that I'm going about it the right way. How did you decide on mailing to absentee and citations?

Hello everyone,

I would like to get started on a direct mail campaign but I'm not sure who I should start mailing to. I know that there are a number of list that I can choose from such as absentee owners, probates, evictions, and tax liens but I'm not sure on how to determine which list to target. Is there a certain criteria that I should be looking for? How did you all select your list?

Thanks,

DaNia

@Dmitriy Fomichenko @Guy Olds thanks guys. I'll have to send an email and report it. I was just trying to see if anyone else had experienced the same issue.

@Dmitriy Fomichenko I've tried to used the search for members function but the results only display Chicago area members and not members surrounding me in LA.  Do you have any advice on this?

I'm looking to start off with wholesale deals then work my way up to purchasing rental properties. I've always wanted to own my own apartment building. When I was younger my family use to own an apartment building that we lived in and I'm hoping to do the same and build a portfolio of rental properties.

@Renea Steward

Thanks! I've been doing my best trying to read as many forum and blog post that I can. I really enjoy the podcast and have found those to be extremely helpful. The only thing that I wish the site had was a glossary on terms (I might be overlooking it). I'm still trying to figure out what probates, spec houses, and REOs are.
