Ok so I have one SFH rental that is owned free and clear. I have a primary residence with a mortgage on it that I just got earlier this year. I have some capital saved up and am interested in getting a multi family unit next with a mortgage but Im not sure if I will be approved because I just got the mortgage on my primary. I also have the option of purchasing 1 or 2 inner city distressed SFH and rehabbing them slowly from our yearly judicial sale in December. I just have some capital that I want to disperse in real estate ad am not sure the best way to go about it. Any advice would be helpful.

@Tom Parris thanks yes the renter is already in my property and they are in health care so job security is not a problem and I have no mortgage on the rental so that helps

Ok so I just purchased a rental property in cash and put 10% down on my primary residence in January. With the upcoming real estate crash and economy in general how scared should I be from a value of my property perspective. I have money to pay my mortgage for at least a year and my rental has a new tenant who's job isn't in jeopardy. Not to concerned about that I'm concerned about buying at the peak of the market. Am I screwed?
