Looking for investor friendly lender recommendations in Boston area (2-4 Units). I understand there is a "find a lender" tool on BP but wanted to see if there were any recommendations from personal experiences. Thanks!

I am looking to purchase a house hack sometime in 2023 and am curious on thoughts around the best areas to invest in around Western MA and Central/Northern CT. I will be purchasing a 2-4 unit and would most importantly like an area that would attract a great tenant base. I plan to purchase a nice property (or fix up a rough one) which will hopefully attract great tenants. I would like to get the high end of market rents in whatever area I decided to invest in. As I will be an owner occupant, I believe I can be a bit more picky of who I choose as a tenant, but my main goal is to offer a very nice place to live (I am not looking to be a slumlord). I would like to know if there are any areas I should stay away as well. I also commute to Boston 1-2 a week so I don't want anything too far from 90 or 84.

Areas I am considering: Western Ma - West Springfield, Chicopee, Westfield, Agawam. Connecticut - West Hartford, Simsbury, Manchester. From my research the landlord/tenant laws a better for landlords in CT, but that isn't a huge driving factor for me.

Also, if there are any agents who specialize in 2-4 unit homes in these areas, please let me know.
