Hi everyone, my wife and I are looking for an investor friendly realtor who has experience helping people find good investment properties, has connection to good contractors...etc.  Any recommendation will be helpful.

Thank you @Chad U., @Alex Deacon, and @Michael Scott for your input.  The property I'm looking at looks like it has sustained some damage from pissed off former owner also.  I won't be able to assess the extent of the damage until I have a chance to see the inside.  My current realtor (a friend) has no experience with foreclosures, would I be better off with someone who has dealt with foreclosure or distressed properties?

The property I am looking at is a REO, but I do feel 30k may not be enough to rehab the place enough. In general, how much would be enough?

Hi all,

I’m looking at a foreclosure property in SW PA. It is being auctioned off at $127k starting point but it’s surrounding properties all worth $300k plus.  I haven’t had a chance to look inside the property but I know it has been sitting vacant for at least 2 years.  Is this a property a newbie like me should take on?  My wife and I have set aside roughly 30k for rehab but we are worried that there might be something really wrong with this house.  What are some of the things to look for for an abandoned property like this?

I appreciate any input from you all!!

Thanks,

Ed
