I am a BiggerPockets BELIEVER! ..Incredible. Thanks so much @Jay Hinrichs and @Michael Allen. Invaluable information. I'm going to get started on that license right away. This industry can be very intimidating- you guys are saints. Thanks again.

Wow! Thanks so much Michell, great information! Sounds like I just need to get the ball rolling in the training department and then hanging a license somewhere shouldn't be too difficult when the time comes. I think I was mostly concerned that I would go through the licensing process and then wouldn't be able to go any further. I imagine there are plenty of investors in Oregon with their license so it can't be impossible.
Thanks again!

Hello friends! I am a new member here on BiggerPockets from Portland, OR. I've been in the self education stages of real estate investing for the last 5 months now and I have a question I just can't seem to get answered via google or even a few agents I've spoken with in person. So here goes: I would love to get my real estate license, for all well known perks in the real estate investing world, but I hear that in Oregon its not as simple as getting the training and taking the test.. That we may have a different licensing process here than other states. From what I understand you have to be "sponsored" by a Principal Broker..... Does anyone in Oregon have experience with this? Has anyone heard of agencies that sponsor new agents with the understanding they intend to use their license primarily within their real estate investment company? Forgive me if this question is old news, but some light shed would be much appreciated. :)
