@Dan Barli I am looking for anywhere in the 5 Boroughs that can yield me a good return (I live in Brooklyn).  I figured that they would be sold as-is, im not too scared of that since i have been dealing with distressed properties primarily. Not being able to do an inspection kind of raises some doubts. But all in all i will continue looking into it. Thanks Dani and i will be in touch!

@Dan Barli Hi Dan, I am looking to buy and hold these properties for rentals and figured it might be a better idea for me to buy a package rather than individually acquire the properties. I personally have never bought or been involved in REO properties before and from my research i found very different opinions regarding them but non from people who have actually bought them.

Hi Bigger Pocket Community,

I heard about REO Bundles than can be purchased in bulk from banks and started looking into it. I live in The NYC area and was wondering if anyone can share their experience in buying one (either in or out of the state). I would prefer for the properties to be located somewhat close to each other as well. Would anyone recommend doing this? Is there anything specific i should look for when inquiring?

Thanks!

To All,

Thanks for all the input! I'm an experienced buyer in short sales and foreclosures. I'm asking if anyone has ever dealt with a situation like mine.

Thanks!

Hey Christopher,

So i am the potential buyer for this church. Ive heard that doing a short sale for a church or religious type of property has a different way of working than a normal commercial property. Have you ever dealt with this type of situation?

Thanks !

Hey everyone,

I currently want to buy a foreclosure property that used to be residential and is now a church. My end goal is to sell it as a residential. The bank would not except a Deed in Lieu from the owner, probably because its too much of a head ache for them. What is the process do to this short sale? Is it smarter to do a short sale as a church or to first convert it back to residential and than proceed? If anyone has any experience in this case or has done something similar to this before i would like to hear how you went forward with it.

The property is located in NYC.

Thanks!

Hi Guys,

I am a member of the NY real estate community. Im always looking to broaden my knowledge and network with new people.

HI, i am an investor in Brooklyn NY. I need to be able to gather alot of information from every property in NY state. I deal mostly with foreclosures and distressed properties and want to know how websites such as Propertyshark.com get there information on every property. HOw can i run my own unique searches? What data base or websites also carry this information besides propertyshark.

Thanks,

Eran
