Post: Midwest Markets for Multi-Family House Hacking

What are a few Midwest markets I should consider analyzing for house hacking a multi-family property? My partner and I both travel for work and are planning to relocate to take assignments near the market we want to invest in. We have considered Iowa (Iowa City or Des Moines), as his family lives in that state. We are open to other states and cities since we can live and work anywhere in the US. Any suggestions are appreciated!

What do I need to look for when screening a property management team or company as an out of state investor? Are there certain positive or negative things I should look out for?

Post: Traveling Healthcare Worker Looking to Invest

Hello all!

My name is Erica, and I'm brand new to investing in real estate. I have a lot to learn but am motivated to learn as much as I can. I am a traveling healthcare worker and have been for three years. I love traveling and don't plan on stopping for at least 1.5-2 years. At first I considered house hacking, but it's not the most realistic with the goal of continuing to travel for work. I am hoping to buy my first property before I settle in one area, but I'm curious to know if anyone else has bought real estate and invested while traveling for work? And what were the strengths and weaknesses of investing while traveling?

I would like to think my flexible lifestyle would help me be more adaptable when it comes to investing, however I'm worried it might be more of a burden to continue traveling while trying to buy property. Any advice is appreciated!
