If you qualify, you can get up to 10 conventional loans in your name, your wife another 10 if she has qualifying income. I am not aware of any time between purchases that is required. We will have purchased at least four SFH w/in one year by the end of this month.
I recommend finding a mortgage broker in your area and making an appointment to go in to talk about what you would need to do to get your "ducks in a row" for your next purchase.

We use realwealthnetwork.com as our turnkey resource--free network with lots of free education. They have a couple of Texas affiliates, I believe.

Hi David,
My understanding is that banks will not loan to an LLC... at least not a new one. If you are going for traditional financing through a bank, you will need to get the mortgage in your name.
When we were first starting out, I made an appointment with a mortgage broker. I told her that we were looking to start purchasing investment property in the near future and I needed to find out what I needed to do to get my ducks in a row. Most brokers will be very open to meeting to help you get started.
Also, if you haven't already discovered it, the Bigger Pockets podcast have over 200 episodes FILLED with tons of inspiration and ideas from successful investors--many of whom started out with next to nothing but got really creative to get started.
Good luck on your real estate path!

Hi Jeff,
I recommend reading "How to Start Your Own Corporation" by Garrett Sutton, one of the Rich Dad Advisors. It is a super easy read and explains what the best options are for real estate asset protection and why.

Hi Jared!
Good for you for getting started so young! I know there are MANY of us here on BP who wish we had done what you are doing! Kudos!
Education, for me, has been the #1 priority in real estate. If you haven't read Rich Dad Poor Dad (which I'm betting you have, if you're here already!), I recommend starting with that. Then there are a huge number of books by his Rich Dad Advisors that have also been invaluable to me (most of them available at the library!).
The Bigger Pockets podcast is FILLED with ideas and inspiration--over 200 episodes you can listen to out there. I also like The Real Estate Guys Radio Show podcast that is a different format and also extremely helpful.
Brandon's webinars here on the site are also full of great ideas and valuable content.
Good luck to you!!

We use realwealthnetwork.com for our out-of-state turn-key properties (four so far). It is a FREE network of over 26,000 investors which has helped me be a lot less nervous because they've "got my back" when I run into something I need help with on one of my properties.
