Hello BiggerPockets community. I've been a member for 5 months and was turned off when I posted my first deal and I was contacted by a fraudulent investor. He wanted me to pay "lawyer fees" before providing funds for the deal I presented him. I knew this was wrong, did some research, and realized that he was using a real lawyer name and profile. I contacted said lawyer and he right away contacted law enforcement. I also let BiggerPockets know right away. I want to get back on here and add value as I'm still a "novice" investor but the last 5 months have been extremely educational. I broke ground on my first deal as an equity partner two weeks ago and I just picked up another sweet deal that I'm excited about. I'm looking to learn and develops relationships and potentially seek some investors in my projects for some good returns. Happy Friday!!
