Thank you for sharing @Abel Curiel @Angelique F. @Theresa Harris @Christopher Hunter. I’m officially meeting with the real estate agent Wednesday morning at 11am. I will make note of all the questions provided and get back to you all on the progress.

Hi Christopher,

First and foremost I want to thank you for your response. To answer your questions I’ve been reading articles on real estate investment / BiggerPockets podcast or just about anything I can get my hands on. As of right now my interest is in multi-family / commercial real estate. Since I live in New York, I’ve been looking for property in Philadelphia, PA. I’ve gone a few times for a weekend get away and I’ve seen a huge potential. I’ve noticed a lot of young hipsters moving into town and reminded me of Park slope, brooklyn early 2000. Honestly, the agent I chose was based on a site I went to online located in PA and found a 4 door apartment complex near Temple University. My price range $150k- 250k max.  I called the agent and has been prompt at providing me with information and very personable over the phone. Knowing that my job is demanding, He offered to meet at a time that suits my needs. Truthfully, I have not done a thorough research on this particular agent, but figure I’d jump in and get my feet wet. By the way, I do have a partner I’m working with in purchasing real estate.

I’ve finally made the decision to meet with a realtor and begin the process of purchasing property as an investment. Butterflies in the stomach is real. I am meeting with the agent next week and would like to ask the right questions. Any tips would be appreciated. I’ve done homework, but no real world experience.
