Hey Kathy, thanks for the reply. I will for sure check that book out and my wife and very much want to stay in the county. For right now it makes life easier having something near where we live and we love to pour into the rural folks and local peeps. Not to say if the numbers make sense, a property manager taking care of some units that we wouldn't invest somewhere different for sure. The numbers rurally are a bit harder to come by it seems. Like mentioned with renters, there is a smaller pool to pick from, and also on a flip or brrrr, the ARV is a bit less to work as well as rental income. Sure aint stopping tho!! Just gona make it work. Having some retreat type AirBnB joints would be amazing too but we are so green with figuring this out hahahahaha

Hello BP community. My wife Angie and I are newly married as of March (month earlier than planned thank you Covid) and are looking to jump in. Got some reading materials and been listening to podcasts as often as possible. I think we are looking at flip and rental methods which the BRRRR grabs all those in a nice package which is awesome. We really want that freedom and independence. By trade im a fleet manager being a mechanic most my life. She has been a Pharmacy technician most her life. We see REI helping us have that freedom to raise a family, and I also rally race which can be hindered by time off. We also have a heart for missions work and would love to help in other nations and volunteer locally for months at a time and pour into and give back to others.
