Post: Purchasing plot of land

Hi, I'm from Austin. I wanted to know how I can find information on plots of lands that I keep seeing when driving for dollars. Like if someone already has it under contract, or how to get I can get it under contract.
Anyone know what kind of deals would be best in this situation? I would think that fix and flips and wholesales aren't going to go as smoothly as before.

Has anyone had difficulty in buying and selling real estate during these times? Has anyone had more challenges because of the pandemic? Won't it be more difficult with the majority of Texans not working?

I went into their 3 day seminar, but they do want people to join their big dog program. Most of the people in it are new, and I am looking to network with people who already have experience.

Hi Erik,

Bryan also mentioned the Tuesday one that is really great at Casa Chapala.  There is also one on general real estate on Thursdays.  Info for both:

Tuesdays: Commercial Real Estate meetup, hosted by Ken Harris

https://www.meetup.com/AustinCommercialRealEstateInvesting-com/events/ncnwmrybcfbfb/

Location: Casa Chapala, close to Domain

Time: 11.30 - 1pm, but a lot of people arrive around 11Expect around 40-60 attendees.

Great networking opportunity.

Thursdays: Real Estate (general) meetup, hosted by Harold McGee and Jean Norton

https://www.meetup.com/texas-real-estate-Investment-Education-Training-Networking/events/gjrjxqybcfbhb/

Location: Brass Tap, Domain

Time: 11.30 - 1pm

Expect around 20 people.

Will let you know if I come across any others.

Thank you and Brian for telling me this. Unfortunately I have to work during that time period. If you can, you should tell the hosts if they can set up meetings after the 9-5 work day.

Hey Erik, there are a few other solid meet ups through out Austin. Check out Austin Real Estate Collaboration. Quest IRA has a pretty good meet up as well. I recommend getting on Facebook and joining as many investment/wholesale groups as you can. I can send you a list of the groups that we post our wholesale deals on as well! LMK!

I was always hesitant on using Facebook, but it seems that practically ever real estate investor uses it. Please send me the list of groups, and I will make an account. Thank you.

Got it. Thanks for the heads up.

I am completely new to real estate and this site. I wanted to know what people think about REITs(Real Estate Investment Trusts) and how to invest in some. I am looking to make quick passive income.
