I am from the Lexington, KY area.  My husband and I are new to all of this.  We just recently purchased 2 duplexes just north of Lexington.  One thing that I know for sure, is that the real estate market in the central Ky area is very stable.   You don't get great deals unless they are in bad areas, and need a lot of work.  There just isn't as much fluctuation in the housing prices as in other areas.  No great losses, but no great gains either.
