I believe you can start a fund and take and ownership % in the fund by moving the property into the fund. Not 100% certain though.

Has anyone invested in a newly created Opportunity Fund? I see a couple out there (Fundrise $500M, Bridge Housing $500M, Virtua Partners $200M and independent funds) and wanted to hear from other investors what they thought of the funds.

I have a commercial property in a Tier 4 TOC area in the Miracle Mile (Wilshire Blvd) that currently has retail on the ground floor and office above.
Wanted to get thoughts on redevelopment options - looks like everyone is building retail ground floor and apts above but wanted to get thoughts on micro units and condos as alternatives.
