Nice! I think those are great goals!

Funny, I just read a blog on here that kinda challenged me to rethink the flip-until-I-get-enough-money-to-buy-and-hold mentality:

What're your thoughts?

Welcome as well!

Great questions:

Next year: own at least one property outright.

Five years: own at least five properties outright.

Fifteen years: own multiple multifamily units, preferably 50 plus units in each

Retire by 40: basically I want the financial freedom to travel or do as my family pleases without the headache of worrying if we can take six months, or a year even, to ourselves or not.

What about yourself, same questions..

My name is Ethan Stone and I am licensed real estate agent in Texas. I got my license in September of 2016 and I would say I have had relatively good success in my first half year. Throughout the process of growing my personal real estate business, I've realized there are many more ways to make money via real estate than just being an agent. It's not a bad way to make money in real estate, but it is definitely limiting in many ways if it is the ONLY way I am making money in real estate. So here I am on BP reading forums, blog posts, success stories, etc., and I know that there is financial freedom staring me in the face via real estate.

My new goal as a 27 year old is to retire by 40, or at least be in a position to decide to not work on new projects for a stretch of six months to a year by that age. I appreciate any and all questions, comments, suggestions, etc.! Glad to be a part of this community, and I fully intend to be here often to engage and learn (something I tend to be lazy at, so I am hoping this community will set a fire down in my soul, just like Jesus Christ does for my life).

P.S. I owe my knowledge of this site to my mentor, Josh Rogers - a swell guy who has made great life choices with regards to real estate and business in general.

Best to all,

Ethan Stone
