Hello everyone,
I need a trust attorney in the OC/LA area. Does anyone have any good recommendations? Any leads or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi Eve!
We use Schlage locks and Lynx automation, so it will be different but I think I can still shed some light on how we set it up as I imagine the locks and software can operate in similar ways. We have it set up through our PMS so when a reservation comes in, it automatically populates from Streamline (PMS) to lynx. The reservation then basically goes into a queue and is remotely programmed into the lock. We have it set to make the code the last 4 of the guests's last 4 of phone number. So if I make a reservation for myself at one of our properties from Mar 1-5, 0877 (my last 4) will open the lock from 4PM Mar 1 - 10am Mar 5.
I hope that helps you :)
Hey Andrew! Thank you so much for the response. This is helpful. We don't have PMS yet, looking into what would be best. Do you have any recommendations?

Do you use a PMS?
Sync your pms to your remote lock and it should send your guest last 4 phone number to them.
Remote lock will act as a medium between Kwikset and your pms.

Hello,
My husband and I are currently househacking a six-bed, five-bath house. We are renting out the rooms individually on a month-by-month basis using Airbnb. We use the Kwikset 912 to lock the rooms, the 914 for the front door, and the 916 for the back doors. We just signed up for the RemoteLock software to connect all of our locks and generate codes. We already use Smart Things as our smart hub.
How do you guys program the locks and send the codes to tenants? We're looking to scale and possibly rent out the house short term in the summer, so I'd like everything to be as hands-off as possible. Would you guys recommend using RemoteLock or attempting to use the Kwikset apps? Or do you have any other app recommendations that would work?
Thank you,
Eve Velasquez

Hey Thomas,
Which strategy did you end up choosing? I hope it all worked out! I'm currently looking to rent by the room as a househack. Our target audience is travel nurses.

Hey guys,
I have a few questions. I'm in escrow on a 5 bed, 5 bath single family house and plan to rent out rooms to travel nurses or other monthly tenants. I've never considered renting out units monthly, so I haven't really done my research on midterms. Only on STRs and LTRs, so I feel like I'm out of my depths in a short period of time. Do you recommend renting out rooms on Airbnb, FurnishedFinder, or VRBO? Or all of the above? I know there are pros and cons to everything, but I don't have much time to learn everything before closing. I would love any advice on the subject. Thank you in advance!
Additionally, each room has a bathroom. It has two kitchens, one upstairs and one downstairs. Before it was renovated, it had a third kitchen (it may have been a kitchenette).
