hi Mike

thanks for your insights on the difference in RE investing culture and in particular about the loan products: I was not aware of the difference in such products.

What's the difference you're referring to? What's an example of a product that is not available in Italy from a loan perspective vs US?

Regarding your last point: you guessed right. I live in one of the most touristic areas of the whole country, have a solid background in the b2c travel industry and I am willing to go the short term route eventually mixed with mid-term in case of opportunities in specific areas where I think it would make sense. (but my interest/goal is 90% on the short term side)

I will consider buying even a single one room unit, but before proceeding I'd like to make sure I understand the available options, that's why I'm interested firstly in getting an idea about the price levels for any available 2-3 units dwellings (eventually living in one) or, even if less interesting, two units in a condo for ease of management and negotiation

Hi everyone

this is my first post on BiggerPockets after listening to some podcast episodes.

I am based in Italy and will invest in Italy, hence I'm searching for a source of info and listings for available homes here.

I am evaluating various options to pursue in the not-so-far future and all the websites that list multi-unit properties seem to be focused on the US market (loopnet, homes.com, crexi, realtor.com just to name few random ones that I found via google).

The usual real estate portals in italy (immobiliare.it, casa.it, idealista.it) have no option for multi family and what can be found is often just related to multi-story properties intended as one single large property with multiple floors.

Can you suggest how to approach this kind of search? Are there any portals to be used to find such properties in EU?

Dumb question maybe, but I can't seem to figure out how to find those types of properties

looking forward to any suggestions and to learn a lot on the forums and the podcasts.
