Post: Communications/social media assistant available for work in REI space

Hi everyone!
I'm hoping it's ok to post this here. I'm a communications/PR/social media whizz who recently moved from the UK to USA and I'm looking for freelance work in the REI space. I'm currently working towards getting my first US-based STR up and running in the next month or so. However, I'm just putting it out there in case anyone in LA (or remote) is looking for an assistant - particularly if you have needs with communications, marketing, PR, website, blogs, general admin and especially anything to do with socials, ie creating or running property Facebook, instagram or TikTok pages. I'm currently doing a few hours a week of social media for a new property management company here in LA. Happy to send over resume/portfolio and rates to anyone interested. Thanks so much for taking the time to read this!

@Joseph Augustus@Stephen Morales hey both! Sorry to intrude here but I'm currently researching wholesaling (I'm new to REI) and would love to see a beginner workflow if possible as I'm feeling overwhelmed by the wholesaler process although I think its the avenue I'm most keen to explore!

I don't have anything to ask right now (I'm very new to REI!) but just wanted to say WOW! Congratulations! This is the kind of success I'm hoping to achieve one day. Thanks for sharing and inspiring!!

This is so helpful! Thank you so much. Yes I'm looking into LLCs at the moment, I understand in California I need to pay $800 a year but can I set I myself online or is it worth getting someone to set it up for me? Really appreciate your insight Ghassan!

Hey Sam! I feel like I am in a very similar boat - hard relate on 'the more I learn the more I need to learn' and have felt pretty overwhelmed the last week in particular with my market research. The amount of 'red' on the Bigger Deals site (in several markets) almost sent me in a spin. Also conscious of the bigger picture and everything happening with rates but also don't want to hold back any longer and just dive in...!
Anyway just wanted to say hi from a fellow newbie!

Hi everyone!
I'm Francine - a British mum of two who recently relocated to LA for my husband's work. Over the last 6 months I've found myself applying endlessly for jobs in communications/PR/socials and getting no where so I've decided it's a sign that I should finally get into my lifelong passion of REI which would also give me the flexibility to spend as much time as possible with my babies too.
I ran a successful STR in the UK (a basement flat attached to our home) but I'm very new to how it works out here!
I recently completed a short REI ‘masterclass’ but now want to get stuck in and read/listen/ask as much as I can from those on the ground.
I’m currently looking at getting a STR in Joshua Tree but also keen to learn more about wholesaling. Any/all advice for a newbie very much welcome!!
Thanks so much
