I'm back and forth between NJ and Latham area (looking to start investing in 2019 throughout the Albany region though)

thanks for chiming in everyone, I'll shoot you some individual messages and hopefully we can find some time to connect.

Hello All,

I've been searching through the pages and the links and can't seem to find a single thread with Albany Area members. Did I miss it someplace?

The reason I ask is that I've spent months ready, saving, learning, saving, combing listings etc.... and I'm getting to the point where I'm analyzing some deals, spending time in markets I'm interested in and really just getting used to the process.

My next step I would like to do is start meeting with some agents/brokers and find some people I can connect with so that when something does pop up and things make sense, I have those people to help.

Also if you think there's a better place to post this, let me know

Ok so I'm new to this forum style, but do i need to "connect" before i can send a DM? or is there a "message" option someplace I'm just missing.

Ive done a lot of reading and listening to podcast and finally wanted to introduce myself and take the step of becoming an active member in the community.

Right now I'm still educating myself a bit but hope to pick up my first investment multifamily before the end of the year.

I work in the Automotive sector for a leading premium German car manufacturer and am fortunate that I can also say that it's also my hobby. I build and race cars when i can but also enjoy supporting my friends and other car enthusiast from minor work to some amazing restorations.

Based on my own experiences I think I'm likely to look at the upstate NY market as my first venture since i know the market the best but that's why I'm here, to learn more.
