@Salvatore Lentini

This thread is just what I needed to find today.

Whats holding me back is not knowing which issues take priority

My current situation-

I bought my house in May,2017 and I saw on my mortgage app that I have access to $52k in equity.

My plan is to rent out my current house and buy a duplex with a traditional loan and house hack while using the equity to rehab.

Questions:

Does my current house need to be in tip top shape to even start the refi/appraisal process?

Do I have to live in one for 2 whole years to qualify for 3.5% downpayment FHA loan?

@Anthoney Hanks

Thank you for all the info and good advice.

I am looking at real estate listings daily now and this week I’d like to find a real estate agent who is also an investor, not too tall of an order I’m sure

Hi BP community.

I am brand new to real estate investing although I do own a home.

Over the past few months I have dove in head first into the bigger pockets podcasts, Robert Kiyosaki’s books, and many others in order to learn about the business.

I would like to meet BP members in my area if anyone knows about meetings that take place.

I plan on purchasing a second home this year as an investment property. Currently I don’t have much cash laying around to use in a deal (around 10k), but I can refinance my house and pull out some cash, what do you recommend in this position?

I’m not sure just yet in which direction of real estate investing I would like to go eventually , but I don’t think that will happen naturally.

If you have any input/critique/advice of any kind, I would love to hear what you have to say.

Thanks in advance
