Would you pursued a B.S in Business Administration(B.S.B.A) with concentration in Real Estate Investment Management while at the same time working part-times as a Real Estate agent or would you pursue a different major? Would pursuing a B.S.B.A be a wise decision? How would you use the G.I Bill?

you would be fortunate to have the backing of the G.I Bill, which means that you would receive housing allowance ( about $1600 each month) and in-state tuition payment(e.i. you don't need to worry about paying for college)

My end goal is to become a real estate investor and not a real estate agent. I will earn the Real Estate license in order to earn extra capital and at the same time learn to read the housing market.

Michael,

Thank you for the welcome!!

Yes, you are right!I have been digging into the educational tool bar as much as I can, it is a great resource. And I will definitely search for those topics in which the VA loan can help me lunch this dream of mine, thank you for pointing me into the right direction!!

I read in your profile that you have been balancing a full time job and part time investment life style. That is awesome!! it is exactly what I would like to do while I gain the experience and the right capital to go full time investor. If you may ask,  Is there any reason why you have not change into a full time investor? Also, has your Business degree benefited you as an investor? how?

Thank you for your time!

Giovanny M.

Afternoon people!!

Introducing myself through this medium is not as easy as I thought. But as it has been recommended, just start writing and eventually the content will came out. I am excited and anxious to start this new phase in my life. Becoming a real estate investor has its up and downs, it's risks and rewards, and of course the potential of living a life where I have the opportunity of owning my time and energy; by this I mean, eventually I will not be working a 9 to 5 job where I am constantly following repetitive task day in and out, and where I do not have the freedom to express my self and creativity.

I have been attending college for about four years; I obtained my Associate in Science, I conducted behavioral research as an intern for one year, I became Vice President of Leadership in Phi Theta Kappa local chapter, and I was active in school activities. During this period of my life, I have grown to love to learn, to explore, and to read. I am always looking for more information and ways to apply this knowledge; this is how I came across BiggerPockets Popcast. I have been listening to BiggerPockets podcast for about two months; Joshua & Brandon and the guess have been more than inspiring to me.

The seed of real estate investing was planted by Mr. Robert Kiyosaki four years ago; His book Rich Dad Poor Dad made an emotional impact on me. Back then, I was transitioning from the Marine Corps into the civilian life and planning on attending college. This is why, I did not gave much thought into becoming an investor, but now things are different. I am a different person,I have other priorities, and I have found a gold mine--BiggerPockets.

Thank you,

Giovanny M.
