Hello Scott, great question for me as well as I am not yet in Sarasota. I hope to be there full time within the next few months. I'd be very interested to know if there were any REI groups nearby.

Hello all,
My name is Gary Menkes and I am in the process of leaving my "9-5er" (it's actually more like 6-5!) and moving my family to the Southwest/Sarasota area of Florida. I very much want the next phase of my career to be in REI. I really want to get into income producing multifamily properties. That is what I would like my initial niche to be. My goal is to make this my full time business. If there was a 2nd area of focus for me it would be in house flipping. If someone could direct me to some good forums on multifamily income producing forums here on BiggerPockets, I would be grateful.
