@Thor Bolle
Hello Thor,
I live and invest in Belgium and the registration costs and taxes are quite high!
as an example: the rental house I bought for 125000 cost me about 20k€ in taxes and extra’s
so I don't know where you got the information from that you think it's cheap! I personally think it is quite difficult to invest in Belgium to achieve a good cash flow!

@Sofia Liebon
Hi, and welcome to Brussels!
I do not know a notary in brussel, but it is not easier to find a French-speaking notary because I see that you are from France and I assume you speak French!
I do know a rental contract must be in Dutch or French! so it can be sales contracts too!
I suggest contacting a few notaries and asking questions!

@Thomas L.
I live in waals brabant! My duplex is in charleroi and the house of my wife is in brussel!
My biggest question is how I can use my equity to invest further! the banks are not working with me so far! at belfius they said, it is not possible here, in America yes, not in belgium!

Hi my name is Joel Goijens and I live in Belgium.
I have 3 rental properties and a car storage for classic cars. After listening to almost all the biggerpockets podcasts I finally signed up, but I never did an introduction.
I love the bodcast and it is very instructive despite the fact that not everything is the same in Europe than in the USA.
I worked for years on old cars and it is still my passion. But it is very laber intensive and not always well paid. At one point I had 15 vintage cars myself and 50 in customer storage. 2 years ago I decided to sell a few cars and to invest in real estate. Because my parents-in-law have a few rental properties, I saw that it is a nice extra income. In the meantime I have 2 rentals and my wife 1 and I would like to add more properties in the future.
I hope to be able to live one day of my pasive incomes of my rental properties and to do the classic cars aside as a passion.
