@Stuart Chinworth thanks a ton for your response and sharing info. As part of performing due diligence, I did notice that the rent estimates listed on Zillow might be slightly higher than reality. Do you have any recommendations on finding the closest to reality estimates on rents for 3bd/2ba? This will help in figuring out how much to pay for properties.

Appreciate any input.

Hi,

I’m a Red Raider alumni looking to get into rental property investing in Lubbock, TX. Why LBK? I live in Dallas and the pricing in LBK is way more affordable than the DFW area. I also like the stability of the LBK market.

I’m looking to network with realtors/fellow investors in the area to learn what areas have good potential and very low rental vacancies. From reading a few other posts, I understand that the student rental market is saturated and hence I’m not leaning towards that demographic. What about rentals in the 50th st/Indiana Ave area or similar neighborhoods next to schools?

I’d greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Harun
