Another book I will recommend is:

Every Landlord's Guide to Finding Great Tenants by Janet Portman

The author is an attorney so she covers all the legal issues about renting property. Highly recommended for beginners.

Hello BP forum,

I have a question I hope someone can answer. My wife and I want to form an LLC to protect our assets and buy a Fourplex in Dallas, TX as an income property. We do not owe a house at the time and plan to live in the Fourplex.

Can we buy the property with an FHA loan as an LLC?

If the answer is no, what can we do to protect our selves from lawsuits from tenants?

Thanks

Eduardo

Hello BP forum,

I'm new in the small income property business. I have heard many horror stories from colleges about bad tenants and evictions.

Can anyone recommend a good book, website or information of how to screen for good tenants?

Thanks

Eduardo
