Hi Everyone -

Looking to get started in investing in multi family (my target is a 2-5 unit property initially then scale up from there).

Would love any insights on which areas in NJ are attractive for multi-family (I'm located in Essex County) & any advice on what most did to get the ball rolling on their 1st property or two ? (i.e. partnerships, hard money, flips etc)

I have a +15 year finance background & would love in time for this to be my full-time occupation.

I'm also open to any interesting mixed-use & select commercial opportunities as well.

Thanks in advance for your help - the Bigger Pockets community / forums are great !

Ian
