Hi! Thank you, I have found him during my research. Have you enrolled in his program and finished his course ?

Hi! Thank you @Gary Booth:

We will definitely reach out! Right now, we are finishing remodeling our house here in Indiana and preparing for a market, so it's a little hectic... but, we are hoping to be done by the end of this summer (hopefully sooner) and then we could concentrate in investing. I am keeping you in our connections :)

Thank you @Erik K.:

I have found Mr. Guarino's program and I have been listening to his podcast and reading his website. I have done tons of research about assisted living, probably more than I should have in 1 week period. But, there's lots more to learn. It involves more tedious work than just buying and hold, it has to do more with laws and policies and having employees. I think our first investment and five more will be around multifamily properties, until my husband and I could actually quit our jobs and then, I could devote my time to only assisted living. I have lots of plans but one thing at the time :)

Hi! Thank you @Aaron Vaughn:

We will definitely reach out for any questions we might have as we move closer to investing !

Hello BP community!

My name is Indre and together with my husband we are excited to start our new careers in real estate investing.

We are considered to be newbies in this field. However, with some exceptions, like owning a townhouse with a tenant in it for the past 9 years or so and not realizing that we are already landlords… But, that’s a story for a different time :)

Right now, we live in Indiana and we both work full time in/near Chicago.

We want to move back to Florida around Jacksonville area and looking forward in doing so next summer 2020.

We are interested in buying and owning a multifamily property: from duplexes to mobile home parks. In this process, our goal is to replace my husband’s paycheck first as we are thinking for him to quit his job and focus full time in investing and managing the properties. As a result of our move, our goal is to invest possibly this year to early next year of 2020.

My husband and I, we do have same goals of what we want, by investing in real estate:

  • Being able to focus on family more (we have two children).
  • Travel more (and not just to our work, which takes at least for me right now 3 hours per day). That means, I have to get up at 4:30am to get ready for my 8 am shift :/ and I get back home usually after 6pm. That’s Chicago traffic for you… and it’s exhausting.
  • Invest more time in hobbies.
  • Financial freedom (I think, this one is everybody’s favorite reason)

However, my long term goal is to have Assisted Living Residential homes. And, maybe once I start investing, I will start the blog just to see how and what it takes to succeed.

My husband found BP maybe 2 months ago, and I have started listening to podcasts about a month ago.

I want to thank you for creating such a caring and open environment. Every morning and afternoon, for the past month I have been listening to you guys while traveling to and from work.

I started with episode there and there but recently just went back to episode 1 and started from the beginning… I am on the episode #40 as of yesterday... I have a journal that I use to jot down some favorite quotes or thoughts and keep a list of suggested books…

And, let me tell you, every podcast I listened to, you encourage my day, you make me laugh and I am so inspired by all of your work and hoping one day to be successful as all of you. My regular work day starts with a smile on my face because of you and I even told my 6 year old a “knock knock” joke today from one of the episodes and put a smile on his face :) so thank you BP for starting such a community.

I am very excited to see what the future holds for us, but at the same time… I am super scared and terrified to start investing in real estate. I am one of the people who likes stability and security and plans ahead…. I hate surprises good or bad, I like to be prepared for everything and not knowing is the worst...

We are doing a lot of research and reading books that you recommend, but I think the real deal will start once we actually invest…

Please be patient with me, if I may ask silly questions as I learn about real estate. There are so much on financial terminology and I am not good at it at all…. My current position involves reading doctor’s notes and their handwriting and not so much about real estate or financial language.

I am eager to learn and I am looking forward in getting to know you all and hopefully to create connections and long term friendships.

Please stay tune for:

  • How did we became landlords for our first property and "forgot" about it.
  • For my educational purposes and for your amusement: First property analysis of our first “forgotten” property. Are we gaining or losing by owning it?
  • Discussion on ideas and concerns of our real first big investment.
