I'm going to attend my first Sheriff's sale (Philadelphia, PA) next week. If you've purchased a property from a Sheriff's sale, did you do a basic judgement and lien search before bidding on the property?  

If not, did you run into any problems after the purchase?

Either way, did you have any issues getting title insurance within 30 days of the purchase?

Hi Everyone,

I'm Jim and a newbie to BP.  I'm located in southern NewJersey.  The area I've chosen to invest in is the city of Philadelphia because of the many opportunities available there. 

My primary goals are to increase my knowledge of real estate investing, build a portfolio of rental properties and help restore neighborhoods while building wealth.  I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can and giving back to the BP community.
