Thank you all. I spoke with my tax advisor and they recommended I keep the CT LLC instead of opening a CA LLC for my property in CT. I received great advice here and appreciate the guidance.

Thanks Katie and to those of you who sent me a DM. One last related question...since I have yet to move the house under the LLC, should I dissolve the CT LLC and start with a new one in CA to avoid filing in 2 states?

I've already closed on the house and currently have an LLC in CT but have not moved the property over to the LLC yet because I wasn't sure if it makes better tax sense to move it under an LLC where I live (CA) or an LLC where the property is located (CT)... any help you can provide is much appreciated! - Real Estate Rookie
