Hi Matthew,

Thank you so much for your response. I have 2 solar developers evaluating right now.  It takes some time to review all the information.  If I don't get anywhere with these guys, I will reach out to you.

Thanks,

Jasmine

Hi Kyle,

Looks like the substation at Downs St and Ridgecrest Blvd is the nearest substation.  That one is 6.2 miles away. I got the data from

https://www.energy.ca.gov/maps/

I am checking to see if there are any planned substations in the future that may be closer.  Thank you again for all your help.

Thanks

Jasmine

Kyle,

Thank you so much for looking into this.  This is very helpful.

I am pretty sure one of the properties has a powerline running close it.  I will look that up for the 2 larger ones.  I do not know the nearest substation.  I think the utility is Los Angeles department of water and power.  I will check on the APN for the third property.  I might have an extra number there for sure.

Thank you again for all your help.

Jasmine

Thank you so much for your quick responses.  I really appreciate.

Kyle,

Really great to hear that you work with Solar Developers.  Which ones do you work with?   I have a list of all the Top Solar Developers as well as the ones that are most active in kern county.

I have three properties and wanted to see what I can use them for.  I have looked up the solar developments and there are some in the area.

Below are the three APNs that I am looking to use.  One of them is a 5 ac and I know that will disqualify it, but the other are 20 and 40 acres.  If they are not suitable for Solar farms then I will find other options to use them for.

APN- 34111011

APN - 22410223

APN – 202205932

Thank you for analyzing them. Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Jasmine

Hi,

I have couple of pieces of land in CA.  I am looking into leasing them out to Solar Developers.  I have researched several developers as well as read some information about the county.  II am a complete newbie to RE investing, so this would be my first deal. I have some questions

1) Has anyone leased land to Solar developer and can provide any advice would be greatly appreciated.

2) Currently the land is my name, but if a solar developer is interested I was planning on putting it in an LLC to reduce liability. Again any advice on pros and cons would be appreciated?

3) What information would be helpful for me before contacting the solar developers

4) is it better to go directly to a developer or to an intermediate company.

Thank you for any help or advice you can provide.
