@Grant Schroederthat sounds like great news the company we are working with is Loan Depot. We just sent you a message directly to your profile. Hopefully you can help us.

We are in the process of buying a house and 7 days before closing our lender says that the VA will not approve our income due to the fact that my husbands income is derived from a legalized cannabis delivery company. We were pre approved 2 months ago. If anyone has any insight on if this is legal or what can we do to keep this house? Any suggestions are welcome.

I live in California and me and my husband are about to buy a house that we have already locked in with a loan company to get a VA home loan. My husband works as a delivery driver for a legalized cannabis company. 1 week before closing and The home loan company is now saying that the VA won't approve of this loan because our income is from a cannabis company. We have read articles that specifically state that the VA claims that there is no policy denying income from legalized cannabis companies. We have been pre-approved for this loan for 2 months. Does anyone have any ideas on how we should handle this? Please?

So we are looking to buy our first home and we know for sure that we want to have space to build a duplex or at least have one off those backyard homes. The dilemma is should we buy an old home with a metal roof and a lot of land for growth Or to buy a newer home with only a possibility for a small backyard home? How do I find out which one is worth it? I am willing to sacrifice if land trumps newer house.
