Hi Jon,

Good point, I never thought of the issue of a tenant not wanting to vacant, thanks for the input.

Hi everyone-
My wife and I are in the market to purchase a house in the next 6 months. We currently live in CA but want to move to TX in the next 2 years. We were thinking of first purchasing a house in TX to lock in the low rates and the dipping home prices and then moving there after a couple of years. We had an idea to purchase a house and rent it out for the first 2 years and then convert the rental as our primary residence.
Would that be a bad idea? What type of tax or other issues will we run into? Thanks!
