@Edward Terres welcome to BP! I'm also in the Chicago market. I will definitely recommend that you try to rent a couple places before buying. Chicago is huge. I'm up north in Lincoln Square and absolutely love my area, but it really depends if you want to be around a lot of people or in a more "neighborhood-y" type area.

Either way, let me know if there's anything I can do to help and congrats on graduating college! Very exciting.

Does anyone develop in the Naperville or Aurora area? Perhaps know someone that does?

I'll second what @Dorothy Wulf said, I am closing on a two flat in Jefferson Park within the next couple weeks. $300k. There are some good deals in Irving Park too. Some need basic renovations, but from what I've seen nothing "crazy."

Not a problem, we are working on buying a multi unit and Dorothy always recommends them so I wanted to get their info. If not, I have a great company that cleans the inside of my other condo building, I'm going to look up their info right now

@Dorothy Wulf what's the name of the cleaning service you use? do they service these areas?
