Thanks @Derek Faller @Kailey Stevens,

I've had a couple other people recommend Mid Oregon and Prime Lending, so I'll put those two on my "for sure" list. I appreciate the help!

Thanks Eric, I'll check out both of the banks you mentioned. Those were my thoughts too. I figured it's better to start with a local bank or CU and build that relationship.

I've also heard from other people that Umpqua has excellent customer service.

Hi BP Forum Members,

My wife and I are planning on buying our first home in the next few months. We’d like to live in it for 1-2 years, do some light updates/renovations and then rent it out.

Does anyone in Bend, Oregon have a recommended Bank or Credit Union? As a first time buyer, there seems to be an endless amount of Credit Unions and Banks in the area and I’m not having much luck whittling it down to two or three good options.

We are also looking into Alliant Credit Union or even Quicken Loans if we decide to go with an online provider instead of a local branch. Any pros/cons of going with an online provider instead of local?

Thanks!
