Post: Walk-up Apartments

Hi Everyone!

I am currently looking to purchase a buy-to-rent flat in within the urban area of my city (Seville, Spain). I have narrowed it down to 2-3 properties I like within my price range and am looking for opinions and experiences with walk-up apartments. My favorite flat of the three is a fourth-story walk-up, meaning that it takes four flights of stairs to access with no current plans for an elevator. I realize that investing in a walk-up limits the number of renters and future buyers who will be interested in the property, but I am really wanting to hear from anyone who has experience with this. I feel that the flat is priced to compensate for the lack of an elevator (if it had one, it would surely cost about 30% more). The location is great and it is move-in ready, which is what I am looking for in this case. Still, I worry about it possibly having a higher turnover or not appreciating in the future as it otherwise would.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
