@Steven Rubino The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) administers the TSP and when we called their line, they aren't much help. Said we have to pay the incredibly high taxes and fees for anything he does to his TSP. Unfortunately, we might have to go thru the first option which is to pay for outside help somewhere here in san diego. Thank you for your input!

So my dad is scheduled to retire December 31 2021. We have no idea about how retirement works and whats the best to withdraw and all that. Anyone know about taxes regarding TSP?
