well the home owner said that he is willing to take a lost, but what happens to the remaining belance of the $58,000?

Thanks Jon for the reply. This guy owes 58,000 on the property, he needs to get rid of it because he is moving out of town. Can you still do a short sale if he can afford the property?

Hello everyone, my name is James and I need some help on a deal. I am looking at a house that has a $58,000 mortgage, the market value is any where between 60 and $70,000. Does anybody have any ideas?
