So I've been doing a lot of research and I'm thinking property management might be a starting point. Any advice on this position?

I really appreciate the info, I reached out to Mrs Jones-Cox. Indy seems to be a great market for wholesaling and RE in general, any advice for starting out in the area? I'm very familiar with the city as I come there a couple times per week for work. I need some property in the downtown Carmel area lol

I'm interested in all facets of the business, even getting my license and selling that way. Wholesaling is where I would like to begin I think, is this a smart place to start in your opinion?

I hope this post finds all of doing well, I love this forum and everything BP stands for. I've been on the sidelines too long and I'm truly ready to start investing on the side as I continue to serve our country. I read a lot about investing and it can get overwhelming to say the least. I just want to get my feet wet and don't know where to start exactly. Finding a mentor is my priority, I haven't been successful as of today. Any advice/help would be greatly appreciated, I'm in Indiana and highly motivated. Experienced mentors out there, I'm ready to take the next step. Let's go!!!!

Bryan,
If I decide to stay in Indiana I will still be getting paid while I'm in class.

Mrs. Jensen,
Thanks for the reply, I've done research on schools in my area and most roll both sections into one course cost. That's a great idea and I will continue to search; the great part is that I signed up for courses a couple years back but couldn't finish due to military training. I still have the course materials and I could know the handbook cover to cover. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance

Mr. MacPherson,
I really appreciate the advice and If I ever end up in that part of the country I will look you up. So what do you advise I do in the mean time; I'm on this site, listening to podcast and reading nonstop. Anything else to recommend? Thanks in advance.

I'm currently transitioning from the military; I'm stationed in Indiana right now and thinking about taking the real estate exam here. The sticky part is that once I'm completely out of the Army, I don't know where I will choose to settle down. I should be completely out of the service by the first of the year and my plan was to take an accelerated pre licensing course in the mean time. I guess my question is should I wait until I determine where I'm going to settle or take the exam while idle in my current situation?
P.S. I'm not opposed to staying in Indiana, Indianapolis is a great city and from what I've read on the forums a hot spot for real estate.
