Hi @Callan Barber,
I'm in a similar boat to you but I didn't go to the seminar. I also live Australia and looking to invest into the NZ market.
A close friend of mine bought into the mentorship you mentioned two years back and has told me about since. He's educated me a little about how the process works and what the package included. From what I've gathered, you're essentially paying for resources (which you can learn through books/online elsewhere) and for a mentor who's active in the market. He currently has two buy-and-hold properties, with a third in the works. Positive cashflow in all three properties.
I've decided to pursue the same path as him but without the mentorship. I'm still new to this (only a month into researching) and don't have any deals. Aiming to have one by March 2020.
Hope this helps! Feel free to message me anytime if you want anymore information.
Cheers,
James

Hey all, James from the land Down Under here. I'm a completely green into this industry. Currently, I'm making my way through the podcasts on my commute to work and researching in my spare time. Living in Melbourne, Australia but am looking into investing into the New Zealand market for rental properties. I have a relative and a close friend who invest there and wish to follow a similar path. Don't own any current properties (primary residence and investments) but aiming to have at least one rental under my belt before March next year. Glad to be here and be a part of this lively community. Cheers!
