@James Maradits
Hi James! I'll be sure to message you if I have questions! My strategy for my first property is not set in stone quite yet, but I am leaning towards a multifamily to get started hopefully enough cash flow for me to be living for free essentially, so I can save up for another multifamily. My girlfriend likes side by sides but there arent a ton of side by sides in our area. If there is then I'm not looking in the right place lol. Hopefully we can find a good deal and go from there.

@Craig Curelop
Sounds great! I am especially looking forward to looking into an area meetup. I dont have many people around me that are on the same mission as me, so sometimes motivation is hard to come by. Thanks for the information!

Hello everyone, I am James Reschke. I am 22 years old, and I am an aspiring real estate investor. I have a baby boy on the way with my middle school sweetheart. We have been together for a little over 8 years, and to be honest with you guys I didn't think I would last 8 months with the same girl at the time, but she took my heart and it's been hers ever since. We have 3 dogs, 2 of which are rescues, and I love them all to death. I played sports my entire life mostly football I played for 7 years, and now I play pick up basketball more then anything. Just to stay in shape and stay young. I also lift weights, enjoy warm weather vacations and my most recent found passion... Reading. I never in a million years thought I would enjoy reading, but it has already began to change my life since I began reading into finance about 5 months ago. I guess I was never really reading what interested me, material definitely matters.
I began reading "I will teach you to be rich" by Ramit Sethi. This book I took to right away, I mean I literally started taking notes at work while listening on audible, then later that night after work I started taking action and haven't looked back since. This opened my eyes to so many new things. Growing up my parents were poor and so were their parents and so on and so on. So I have always been taught the WRONG way to save money and "stay in school and get a good job, so you will be rich". Well I finally came across "Rich Dad Poor Dad" By Robert Kiyosaki. I am sure most if not all of you have read this book, so I don't have to tell you how great it really is. It changes the way you think, and it is just great. Now I am listening to "The Book On Rental Property Investing" By Brandon Turner for the second time through trying to take down as many notes as I can, while also listening to the Podcasts from ep.1 on Spotify. I am on Ep. 10 now and I LOVE them.
I am extremely excited to begin investing I just don't have the funds right now. Yes I have listened to "Investing with no and low money down" By Brandon Turner also, but I just want to make sure I am well prepared for my first investment. I wish I could shadow someone through the process and get a better feel for everything first. My next move is enrolling in Hondros college to get my real estate license. I have thoroughly evaluated the pros and cons to getting my real estate agent license and it is definitely something I'd like to pursue. I am enrolled in my community college for Physical Therapy Assisting, but I never had a passion for it the way I do business, so I may be changing my major very soon. I have a ton of credit hours logged so I wish I discovered this love sooner, but I'm grateful I realized it now.
If you read all of this, I thank you for you're time. I am so excited to learn more and more about real estate and I can not wait to own my first property one day. If you would like to know more about me, you can message me, or even add me on Facebook. Thanks again everyone.
