@Sheri Fluellen in order to do this, do you have a minimum stay requirement? I assume that most medical folks are staying for 1+ months, but maybe that's not always the case.

@Lien Vuong thanks, I definitely want to get an accurate idea of the demand. My plan is to reach out to the hospitals and staffing companies, as well as networking to see if I can get in touch with any nurses currently at the hospitals.

Thanks Maryann, that's a really great point about checking with the condo association. At 3 miles distance, have you had any difficulty finding tenants? 

I"m considering buying small condos in the $60-90k range within walking distance of large hospitals in suburbs of Arizona/Nevada, then trying to rent them traveling nurses for $1000-1500 per month. I figure condos are easier since HOA covers things like roof, facilities, etc, and if they're cash-flowing, I'm not as worried about the slower appreciation that comes with condos.

Has anyone done this or something similar? I'm trying to determine in advance what I might be overlooking, since this all seems a bit too easy...
