Some important qualitied to have include a good understanding of computer use, punctuality, reliability, & being likeable but not full of yourself. Knowledge of computer programs plus your local MLS are important for most but not all assistant positions.

I also suggest to learn as much as possible about the process of transactions & real estate terminology.

A first time assistant position may not pay a lot, but there are some roles that pay well once you have the knowledge and experience.

Are you looking in the East Bay? I work at a very large brokerage and can easily find the highest recommended agent in my area for MFR.

So three years after my first real estate purchase, I am ready to become a landlord.  I'm looking for a property manager in Southern New Jersey, (Lindenwold), to manage my single family home.  I'm looking for recommendations of who to talk to and interview for the job.  I'll be living on the West Coast otherwise I would manage it myself.

South Jersey has some really affordable properties that would be WAY under budget, even with renovations. 

Just have the agent that you WANT to work with show you the property.  

I've been happy with Keller Williams, too.  They have lots of great training and a good commission split.

I'm an agent early in my career and I've been really happy with working with Keller Williams.  I'm over in NJ but I know they have a brokerage in Phoenix.  Their training is fantastic and their commission split is good.  If you have questions about anything, I would be happy to talk with you.
