We own a short term rental in Davenport, FL. We spent the time to theme it, find cleaners, register for all the various regulatory permits, set up utilities, etc.  We went to register for the county tax though, and got stuck with the local contact requirement for Osceola County.  We planned to self-manage, but it has been a huge struggle finding someone to be the local contact and be a low touch person; everyone wants 25%+ to do basically nothing.  I'm not sure where to go from here. I've interviewed several who are on the approved list, but without interviewing the hundreds on there to figure out who can provide the service we need and that we can trust, I'm feeling stuck.  We live out of state, hence the local contact requirement.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how we can avoid paying someone a ridiculous fee to do nothing (since we know that they farm out all requests to a contractor anyway, and we already have that too.)

Thank you!!!
