I agree with the tax credits. The only way to make the 3,000,000 more units viable is to do that combined with expedited permit processes. My Dad has been trying to renovate his primary residence and has not been able to get permits for 4 years! they come back with the stupidest little things! Maybe if they made it simple to build houses more people would build houses, and we would be overbuilt, causing affordability! Maybe what we need is less control instead of more (but of course THAT is UNACCEPTABLE!). Whoa, crazy how that works!

Quote from @Dan Denis:

It is a good, idea.

stop being élitiste some of you.

you know very well the person need to qualify for a mortgage at the first place.

it's mean more honest investor will benefit from helping people who is where the were one.

I think as investor and rich people in the société. You need to start thinking that kaos and insecurity come, when you to many people with nothing to lose.

Safety come when the société is balance in his social-economic aspect.

A lot of opinion in this subject sound GREEDY AND ÉLITISTE.

Please let's start thinking not everyone going to make it.

we can't save everyone but we can better few life by supporting more initiatives like that, by helping the gouvernement make it better.

I am a 17 year old just starting out and this sounds like a terrible idea. I have no clue why on earth the government thinks that they should provide this, nor any clue as to why anyone thinks that this is a good idea. I have never bought a house, but would rather have to figure out hot to create enough to afford it because then I will appreciate it, whereas I have seen people that are given a "leg up" and then they proceed to go and trash all that they were given. If you want to have something, you must produce enough to be able to afford to consume. Otherwise, this world goes to pot. (maybe that's the problem, to many potheads) This is eerily close to the rising of Hitler and the Nazi's prior to WWII, except this time there will be no "hero Uncle Sam" that can outproduce the Nazi's and put an end to the socialist oppression. The Government needs to get their stinkin' hands out of business, as they have shown time and time again that they can never run something profitably!

I am just getting started in real estate investing, I am looking for hopefully 10+ multifamily units at a time. I would love to meet a wholesaler in the Phoenix area that could possibly help me find a good deal. I WOULD BE A BUYER.
