Thanks for the tips @Rich N., the podcast are awesome, I enjoy how just about everyone reads the exact same books. And I will look into the investors in my local area.

Hello,

My name is Jarrod and I am looking at getting into real estate investing. As of right now my plan is to wholesale houses and build up my capital. Once I have enough capital I would love to start to invest in rental properties both single family and multi family properties.

My goal is to have enough investment properties to become financially independent and continue having fun wholesaling houses. And to create a self sustaining business so that I can  walk away any time I like.

But as of right now I need to get my feet wet and make as many contacts as possible and learn as much as I can from whomever is willing to teach.
