@Robert Collins. I would say gone unless in the GREER HS district and older than the 1960’s. Everything here has skyrocketed in the last 6 months unless you need a full rehab

@Jordan Woolf. Don’t remove it. Just place siding over it. I just had a similar 2 story 1800 square foot house and got it resided for 9500 in Spartanburg, SC

Everyone,

Does anyone have experience renting houses on yearly leases and then turning around and using them as an AirBNB?  I know that you would have to get the owners consent written into the lease and you would have to secure short term rental insurance.  My other question is would the landlord have to acquire the insurance since the titled property is not in your name or can you still obtain short term rental insurance if you do not own the property.  Any insight would be greatly appreciated to see if this strategy is a viable option.  Thanks!

Hello all!  I was wondering if any of you have experience using a credit card processor for a short term rental business?  I recently acquired a property and have friends that want to book, but really want to pay by credit card.  I have looked at Square and Bank offered merchant services and they all seem to be cost prohibitive, as I do not intent to run more than 10 transactions in a year.

The only one that looks halfway decent is PayPal but I am still taking a 2.9% fee per transaction.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks!
